Steven Hoak

Senior Crop Consultant, CPCC-I

Steven Hoak graduated from Nicholls State University in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Business. He began his journey in the industry through a pest management internship upon graduation. Shortly after, Steven started working as a Crop Management Specialist for a private consulting company in the the southeast. After 34 years, Steven earned the reputation of a “consultant’s consultant” while successfully overseeing the management of nearly 20,000 acres. He has trained several individuals currently obtaining major roles at international and national chemical companies, fertilizer companies, and universities. Steven is a Certified Professional Crop Consultant and has a Commercial Applicator License in the state of Florida.

Stephanie Velez

Crop Consultant, CCA

Stephanie Velez graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2016 with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. While attending university, she was also employed by the USDA-ARS biocontrol research unit and assisted with pest resistance research projects for UF-IFAS. Since 2011, Stephanie has been working with scientists and farmers to solve problems both in the lab and in the field. She received an OURI grant for GMO analysis of a unique gene promoter in her senior year and her team published their findings in the International Journal of Molecular Biotechnology. Upon graduating, she joined Steven's regional crop management team. Stephanie is a Certified Crop Advisor, has a Commercial Applicator License in the state of Florida, and obtained her master's degree from Auburn University with a concentration in agronomy and crop sciences.
